Introduction Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder (DMDD) is a new disorder that has been added to the category of mood disorders in fifth Diagnostic and Statistical Manual Mental Disorders distinguish chronic non-periodic irritability from periodic bipolar disorder. Results To date, no medication approved by FDA treat EDD. there are standards, drug therapy focuses primary symptoms EDD, such as irritability, temper tantrums, comorbidities, ADHD. Currently, medications used clinicians patients with EDD include antidepressants (fluoxetine, sertraline, citalopram), stimulants (methylphenidate), anxiolytics stabilizers (sodium valproate) antipsychotics (haloperidol, risperidone, aripiprazole combination methylphenidate ADHD-EDD comorbidity), atomoxetine, guanfacine, amantadine. Conclusions As diagnosis, guidelines unclear.
